The concept of smart classes was introduced in our School five
years ago and today we have 52 classrooms equipped with e-boards, and another
7 which are being equipped. Students from classes VII – XII find the learning
experience even more enriching and fascinating as their teachers who are well
versed with the functioning of e-boards, bring to life various scientific
concepts, geographical aspects and historical facts with the click of a mouse.
In an effort to bring technology to the class rooms, the Principal initiated
the installation of Smart Board or e-boards in the Class rooms with a
connection to a common server and resource room. Teaching material created by
teachers and obtained ready made is made accessible to all the classrooms,
enabling teachers to use it and make class room teaching more effective and
fruitful. The teachers underwent extensive training to familiarize themselves
with the working of the e-Board and accessing the material, before the
installation of the same.
